About Me
I'm a seven-time Emmy Award-winning bilingual journalist with a decade of experience covering breaking news, politics, immigration, and community stories that matter. From reporting live in Rome during the historic election of Pope Leo XIV to extensively covering federal immigration enforcement operations across the Chicago area , I've had the privilege of telling stories that impact communities both locally and around the world.
I currently serve as a Reporter and Multimedia Journalist for NBC Telemundo Chicago, where I cover breaking news, crime, immigration, and enterprise stories. I also serve as a fill-in anchor and create content across broadcast and digital platforms.
Before joining Telemundo Chicago, I spent three years at Univision Chicago, where I covered major breaking news, politics, severe weather, and the Highland Park mass shooting. Throughout my career, I've also reported in California, Arizona, Philadelphia tri-state area, and Georgia.
Originally from Sinaloa, Mexico, I'm a proud first-generation college graduate and earned my journalism degree from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
